Summary :Jiyong came to a memorial park to visit a girl's grave. He remembered back how the first time he met the girl.

It was a cloudy and windy day. Jiyong walked slowly, holding a small bouquet of white Japanese Anemone tied with a white ribbon, climbing the hill to a green grassy field filled with square stones. The wind blew his hair softly as if it understood his feeling, as if it tried to comfort him. After few steps, he stopped. Gradually, he turned to the right, looking at a new grave. The soil was still red and fresh showing how new the grave could be.

He started moving little by little to the grave and stopped right in front of it.

“Hi, Princess,” Jiyong said, looking at the stone while his both hand were at his back, hiding the flowers with a small smile at his lips.

“I’m here just to visit you again,” Jiyong continued his words, still looking at the stone.

“Surprise!” Jiyong said, trying to be cheerful, showing the white Anemone’s bouquet with his right hand.

“You must accept this. You don’t know how hard I search for it today, harder than the last time,” Jiyong said, telling as if a person was before him. The last time was the first time they met.

Jiyong was standing in front of the hospital lobby, looking at the receptionist counter. He sighed and walked towards the counter. He wondered why he was sent to the rural area hospital. He had been fighting with his lecturer whole week about this but the result was still the same. If not because of tomorrow was the due date, he won’t come here.

“I’m Kwon Ji Yong. I’ve been sent by Prof. Young Bae,” Jiyong said to the receptionist.

The receptionist who was also a nurse smiled and stood up from her seat.

“Come here, Dr. Young Bae has choose a special patient for you,” The nurse said, still smiling sweetly, showing her hand to an old looking passage.

“I knew, he has sent me her details,” Jiyong answered and turned to the passage the nurse showed.

Jiyong formed a weird smile when he saw the passage. He sighed. He should expect this since the day he knew that he had to come here.

Jiyong followed the nurse steps.

“Does Dr. Young Bae choose the patient for his every student?” The nurse asked Jiyong who was still in his thought.

Jiyong looked at the nurse surprisingly.

“Yeah, it’s normal. He chooses every thing for us. The hospital, patient and topic,” Jiyong replied right after he could interpret the question.

“He’s detail,” The nurse said in a low voice as if she was saying to herself, smiling annoyingly.

Jiyong looked at the nurse. He sighed. Why every nurse he met would fall in love with the Young Bae? He really didn’t understand why. He knew why girls always fall for him. He was rich, hot, charisma, good looking and most importantly, he was cute. No girls could resist him. Jiyong was smiling to himself.

“Here we are,” the nurse said, unanimously killed Jiyong thought of his handsome self.

In the ward which filled with 8 beds. Most of them were empty except for one bed which was covered by the cream coloured curtain. It was the bed at the end of the ward which the closest to the window.

“Please call any nurse here if you need help,” The nurse said and walked away. Suddenly, she turned back to Jiyong.

“You just have an hour since the visitor time is almost ended,” The nurse told him before she walked away.

Jiyong nodded and turned to the ward. He walked slowly to the curtain covered bed. Gradually, he slid the curtain, showing and empty bed. He was puzzled. Maybe the girl was going to somewhere else. He sat at the chair provided beside the bed. Where could she be?

Jiyong look at his wristwatch. He didn’t need an hour for the interview. 15 minutes was enough. He decided to wait. Gradually, he fell asleep with arms on the bed and his head on the arms.

“Hey, wake up,” A girl on a wheelchair with the white patient uniform shook Jiyong’s shoulder.

Jiyong opened his eyes and saw the girl. He raised his head and rubbed his eyes.

“You are late! I’m waiting for you since 12 o’clock. So I play around. Luckily Miss Eun tells me that you’ve arrived or you can’t make your report,” The girl told Jiyong with her hands at her waist. Her face clearly showed how unsatisfied she was with Jiyong.

“I’m sorry,” Jiyong said, with his sleepy face and voice. She was active and bigmouth for someone who would die soon.

“Sorry is not enough,” The girl said, held herself, pouted her lips and turned away.

“Okay, what you want me to do?” Jiyong said emotionlessly. She was childish, really childish for a 21 years old girl.

The girl looked at Jiyong and smirked.

“Woo me,” She said simply.

Jiyong was surprised. He had to woo a girl just to get her forgiveness. He looked at his wristwatch. He had another 45 minutes. Slowly he smiled. It’s easy. He was sure this girl would fall for him in a moment just like other girls he had met. Plus, he was good with sweet flattered words.

“Sure,” Jiyong replied.

“But you have to do it my way,” The girl replied cheerfully.

Jiyong was puzzled. How was that?

“Bring me a prince with a white horse,” The girl said excitedly.

Jiyong made a discomforted face. Her request was really uncommon.

“If not, I won’t let you interview me,” The girl said with her pouted lips.

He sighed. Usually patient with no cure disease was sensitive. So, Jiyong decided to follow her desire.

“You better start now or you don’t have time for it,” The girl said with her cheerful smile although her lips were obviously pale.

“Okay,” Jiyong said lazily and started to get up from the chair.

He walked slowly to the corridor. Where could he find the prince and white horse? He was the one who always be the prince. He could be one. He knew he could. He had complete package to be one. He grinned.
Jiyong kept walking. The corridor was quite empty for a hospital which was usually filled with visitors, doctors, patients and nurses. The patients here were getting less each day and it would be close by next December. That was what he heard from his friends when he told them about his assignment. Now, where could he find a white horse? He had one in the horse club in Seoul but it was too far away from here. He couldn’t make it within 40 minutes. He had a feeling that he would fail. Should he just persuade her to forgive him?

While walking beside the paediatric ward, he saw two little boys playing with plastic toy swords. There was a little girl with a paper-made crown sitting on a toy horse beside them. Jiyong stopped and watched them.

“Princess, I’ll save you,” said one of the boys, looking at the girl on the toy horse.

The girl smiled.

“No, she is mine and forever mine. I’ll not let you take her away,” said another boy, looking very madly. He pointed his sword.

The girl made a worry face.

Jiyong smiled. He had found what he need.

In the empty ward, the girl looked outside the window. Today weather was so beautiful. The garden around the hospital looked appealing for a stroll.

“Princess, I’m here,” A voice suddenly heard.

The girl turned around her head and saw Jiyong with a paper-made crown, toy plastic sword and a little toy horse cover by white cloth, kneeing, looking at her. The girl turned her wheelchair around and laughed lightly.

Jiyong was surprise. She was so pretty. The light from the outside the window lightened her as if she was an angel. She laughed so politely and sweetly as if she was a real princess. Why didn’t he notice earlier? He was too sleepy to notice her prettiness.

“Thanks for coming my prince,” The girl replied with a lovely smile after her small laughter.

“I’ve another task for you,” The girl said, still with a smile.

Jiyong was surprised. Another task? He was a little bit annoyed with all these tasks he had to do with Young Bae and now, a girl gave her another task.

“Find me a bouquet of flowers,” The girl continued, smiling.

“Yes, anything for you my princess,” Jiyong said politely. He decided to accept the task. It didn’t sound hard.

Jiyong stood up and reversed his few steps before walked out of the ward. He was really glad the ward was empty or people would laugh looking at the drama. He grinned suddenly. He had looked funny with the all these children stuff on him. He returned all the things first before searching for the flower.

Why there was no souvenir store here? Jiyong sighed. The hospital was really a rural area hospital. He walked through the garden. There was a sign said no picking flowers. Still he decided to walk around. Suddenly, he saw a bunch of white flower on the ground. It didn’t look like it was planted.

The girl was still staring outside the window. She chuckled suddenly, remembering Jiyong wearing all the kids’ toys. She didn’t thought he would do that. She was expecting that he would come and begged her for apologize.

“My princess,” A voice was heard and this time the girl quickly turned her wheelchair.
Jiyong was kneeing, showing the flowers he took from the garden, which was tied with a white ribbon.

“Anemone,” The girl voiced out softly.

“Thank you, I love it,” The girl said, moving to Jiyong and took the flower. She smiled and placed it on her lap.

“Let’s have the interview outside. The weather was really tempting,” The girl said, looking to Jiyong.

Jiyong was gladded that the prince and princess drama was ended. At last he could do his interview. He looked at his wristwatch. He had another 20 minutes. More than enough.

“Do you know that this flower is called Anemone?” The girl asked while Jiyong was pushing her wheelchair outside the ward.

“No,” Jiyong answered simply.

“Anemone defines as fading hope. It reminds me of myself. That’s why I love it,” The girl said weakly.

Jiyong quickly looked at the girl. She was sad and it was all because of that flower. He made an anxious face. He shouldn’t bring that flower.

“Hey, princess. Do you know why all the nurse fall for Prof. Young Bae?” Jiyong asked excitedly. He just wanted to distract the girl from her sad thought.

The girl laughed politely.

“He is handsome, cute, rich but most importantly he is kind. He fights hardly for this hospital. Because of him, we still survive till today,” The girl explained excitedly.

“Do you fall for him too?” Jiyong asked, anxious. She did sound like she was falling for Young Bae.

The girl turned his head to Jiyong, just to look at his eyes.

“Don’t worry. You are my only prince forever,” The girl said, smiling sweetly before she turned forward.

Jiyong was shocked. He could feel his cheeks were warm. He shook his head, he shouldn’t be blushing. Only girls looked nice when blushing.

Then, they reached the garden. Jiyong was having the interview under a big tree. He had fun. They talked, joked and laughed. Everything was perfect when he was with her.

“Next time, if Dr. Young Bae picks me as your topic, bring me another bouquet of white Anemone flowers,” The girl said, when Jiyong was sending her to her ward.

“I’ll bring it next time I visit you,” Jiyong said simply. He was satisfied that he was done with the interview.

In the memorial park, Jiyong stood in front of a new grave. The bouquet of flowers had been placed on the fresh soil. He never thought that he would lose her this fast. She looked healthy before. Deep in his heart, he couldn’t accept her lost.

“I guess this would be our last meeting,” Jiyong said, with teary eyes.

“So this is our goodbye,” Jiyong continued, while his tears fell. He cried silently.

“You are my only prince forever,” The sweet lovely voice echoed in his head.

“I’m glad that I’m your only prince forever,” Jiyong said softly, replying to the voice.

Although she was deep under the ground, he still could feel her presence. As if she was still looking at him, smiling and laughing. Then she stared at him with a small sweet smile.

Jiyong smiled in his tears as if he was replying to her smile in his imagination. He never thought that he would fall for her in just one hour. In just one hour, she captured his heart and took it away, brought it with her. Even with his whole life, he could never took his hear back. His whole life won’t enough because he was her only prince forever.
