It became worse when their father, Mr. Takahashi said, they had to live together. Could they stand living together and handle all the fusses?

“Papa, what are you doing?” Sakura said, approaching Hiroshi.

“I’m sorry,” Hiroshi said softly, nodding down to the light blue carpet, still kneeling. Kairi looked at Hotaru that was holding herself. She knew Hotaru would say something, something that the others would want to say.

“Why did you do this?” Hotaru asked, sounded really irritated.

“I have no choice, I...”

Bang! The door was suddenly opened. Luckily no one was standing right in front it. Kazuya was holding the knob with his right hand, leaning at the door which was half-opened, gasping air vigorously.

“Please...,” Kazuya made the first step to enter the room, still in breathing difficulty.

“Forgive him,” Kazuya said, bowing to the girls especially Hotaru. Kairi patted Hotaru shoulder. Instantly, Hotaru turned to her and saw the look, almost the same look that Kazuya had. Hotaru sighed.

“Tell us a strong reason you do this,” Jart suddenly said. Her mature side was shown through her serious tone and expression. Sakura turned away from Jart and looked intensely at her father, she too wanted to know although she didn’t really care about the existent of the boys in the mansion.

Kazuya looked at Hiroshi who still nodding down then he turned to the girls.

“Your father had been swindled,” Kazuya said and looked again at Hiroshi. He wanted to know whether he was allowed to tell or not but Hiroshi still looking down, didn’t give any reaction. The girls were a bit shocked although swindling was a normal matter for business because their father was a very careful person.

“A man came three months ago, asking if Mr. Takahashi was interested in buying a share. Mr. Takahashi agreed, signed the contract and invested 500 millions for it. After a month, a letter came, saying we were in debt, more that 1.5 billions. We couldn’t fight since we had no prove saying that we were swindled since Mr. Takahashi signed the paper outside of the office. If in the office, maybe the security camera could help. After paying the debt, the company suddenly loss more than a billion because of the price of the share dropped badly and now this company actually...” Kazuya stopped talking, looking down.

“I’m sorry,” Hiroshi said it again.

“I’m sorry,” and again.

“I’m..”

“Stop it!” Hotaru shouted. Rin leaned backward toward the wall instantly, shocked. She never thought that their father had been suffering all these months.

“So, you rent our house to...?,” Jart stopped, not knowing who.

“Kitagawa Johnny,” Sakura answered.

“He gave me a billion for a year. I thought you girls will not come back in any moment but when I knew, I wanted to cancel but Mr. Kitagawa said he needs three months to find a new house for the boys,” Hiroshi said, explaining to the girls. He didn’t know what to do now. Nothing could be done.

“Why our house? Why not yours?” Jart asked, suddenly felt annoyed with her father.

“I sold the house,” Hiroshi said in a low voice. Kairi suddenly felt uneasy with the answer.

“But... the house is the only memory you have with mother. Our only memory with mother,” Kairi said in a very sad tone. They lost their mother when Kairi, Hotaru and Jart were twelve while Aoki, Rin and Sakura were ten. She was died due to sickness. Kairi was not sure whether to feel sympathy or irritated with her father.

“Why did you sign the contract on the first place?” Aoki asked, looking at Hiroshi, unsatisfied. Rin held Aoki’s hand, shaking her head when Aoki turned to her. Aoki turned away from Rin and back to her father.

“No! I need to know. WE need to know,” Aoki said strictly, looking intensely at Hiroshi.
