“You’ve passed the test,” The old man continued talking and strolled to Sakura. He rubbed her face softly and smiled.

“Congratulation to you too, dear,” The old man spoke in a low whisper voice.

Arioka didn’t looked surprise with the action. The old man once told him to never harm that girl which showed how important she was.

“I suppose you heard the rumour that Delivery Company will be disband,” The old man spoke seriously while sitting at the opposite couch of Arioka.

Arioka didn’t reply. He glared at the old man, waiting for more explanation.

“I let all the transporters go but you have the exception. You’ll work in the bright side of the company, private investigation.” The old man continued his talk, crossing his legs.

“I refuse,” Arioka said coldly.

“Wait, I never say it’s an invitation,” The old man continued speaking with a smirk.

“You can’t do anything to me,” Arioka replied the smirk.

“Well, maybe I can’t or maybe I can,” The old man untied his legs and leaned forward, holding hands.

“Okay, count me in,” Arioka said teasingly.

“But...” Arioka stopped, leaning forward, glared sharply at the man in front him.

“I will work alone as Black Pigeon,” Arioka said frostily.

“Do you really think I’ll allow it?” The old man started to talk seriously.

“You say this is the bright side of the company but actually it’s bloody. You don’t really want the whole world know about this, don’t you?,” Arioka grinned.

The old man sighed, looked away. Yes, the legend Black Pigeon, trained to deliver things including information.

“The company will never be responsible for Black Pigeon,” The old man stood up and quickly walked away.

Arioka placed his chin on his hands and smirked.

That night, in the old man’s office room, he told Sakura that Arioka will be her partner for the next mission.

“I disagree,” Sakura said coldly, holding herself.

“He will just be an observer,” The old man begged.

“Mr. Kurosaki, I don’t need someone to observe me,” Sakura looked away.

“Don’t get the wrong thing, he will learn by observing you,” The old man explained.

“He can learn from the other agents,” Sakura opposed.

“No, he needs to learn from my little granddaughter because she is the best,” Mr. Kurosaki tried to persuade her.

“Mr. Kurosaki, don’t you lie to me. I know how that guy work and I know he doesn’t need any lesson,” Sakura glared at Mr. Kurosaki.

“Okay, I can’t force you. Here,” Mr. Kurosaki gave a white envelope to Sakura.

Sakura looked at Mr. Kurosaki suspiciously and took it.

“It contains the new client contact details,” Mr. Kurosaki explained.

Sakura bowed and walked out of the room.

Mr. Kurosaki strolled to his chair and sat on it. A man walked in, turned to Sakura who was walking away and approached him.

“She did it again,” The man said jokingly.

“She stubborn just like her mother,” Mr. Kurosaki said, sighed.

“I just hope she won’t leave me like her mother did,” Mr. Kurosaki said in a low voice.

It was morning where the sun was just rose. Sakura yawned while walking along the roads filled with people who were going to work. She stopped and looked upward. There a sign wrote Train Station. She nodded her head and went to the ticket centre.

In the train, the seats looked like the passenger airlines. Most of the seats were empty. She strolled towards the end of the coach where there was a room. There was a girl wearing uniform waiting in front of the room, smiling. Sakura showed her ticket and walked in.

“Have a nice day, miss,” The girl said and walked away.

The room was big enough for two long seats which opposite of each other with a white table at the middle. Sakura sat at one of the seat and slid herself to the window. She took out a pamphlet she took at the ticket centre.

“A room for a coach,” She voiced out the line that attracted her.

Suddenly, the door was opened.

“Daiki-kun?” Sakura was surprised.

Arioka didn’t reply to the sudden call and walked in after closing the door. He sat opposite to Sakura, opened his messenger bag, leaned backward and closed his eyes.

“Did Mr. Kurosaki send you?” Sakura asked after recovered from her shock.

Arioka didn’t reply or response.

Sakura sighed. If this was the Arioka she knew at the first time they met, he won’t answer. Sakura opened the sling bag beside her and took out a box of Strawberry Pocky.

Arioka opened his right eyes only and saw Sakura was showing a box of Pocky to him. He closed his eyes and turned away.

Sakura opened the box and took out the silver plastic case. Slowly, she tore it.

Arioka sighed and quickly showed his palm to Sakura.

“Okay but... answer my question first,” Sakura said, smiling, holding the Pocky near her.

Suddenly, there were knocks.

“Yes,” Sakura replied.

The door was opened, the earlier girl showed.

“The master invites you to the dining car,” The girl said pleasantly.

The dining car was completely empty. Every table was placed beside the window. Each table could take four persons. There was a man sat at a table, a seat beside the window. Sakura and Arioka sat opposite him.

“Welcome to Adachi Train. I’m Adachi Kazuo, the owner of this train,” The man introduced himself, giving his hand to Sakura.

“I’m Hanako Sakura and this is Arioka Daiki,” Sakura smiled and took it.

Arioka just nodded his head when Sakura was introducing him.

“Are you really okay with the economy class room? You could use the first class if you want,” Mr. Adachi asked.

“No, we need to stay at the crime scene to experience it,” Sakura answered.

“I think you have known the reason we need you here,” Mr. Adachi suddenly lost the smile on his face.

“I need more detail information. If you don’t mind, can you explain to us?” Sakura asked politely.

“Thirty years ago, a newlywed couple was on their way to their honeymoon when the new husband stuck his head out of the window to declare his love for his new bride for the world to hear. Tragically, a loose wire of a passing train sliced through his neck, nearly decapitating him and killing him instantly. When the staff heard the screams they came to find that the woman was cradling her husband’s head in her hands and the body was lying on the floor. Recently, if a couple stay in a room, the man will die. I can’t stop the media anymore and the news spreads.” Mr. Adachi held his fist tightly, looking down.

“How they died?” Sakura asked.

“Killed by the girl,” Mr. Adachi answered.

In the small room, Sakura laid her head on the table. Arioka was sleeping silently on the opposite couch. Sakura brought up her head and leaned on the couch, watching Arioka slept. How could he be so carefree?
Sakura sighed. She couldn’t blame him. He just came for observing.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

“Yes,” Sakura answered.

The door was opened and the same staff girl walked in.

“Food service,” The girl said, smiling and served two meals on the table.

“Thank you,” Sakura answered.

The staff girl looked at the sleeping Arioka.

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he eat this,” Sakura suddenly said.
